Diesel coil light?

Featured Replies

When I drove to work this morning, I noticed that the little 'coil' light you get on diesel cars was flashing away non-stop on my dashboard..

What does this mean??

Try checking the brake lights

This is the usual case on diesels

If you have a bulb out replace the bulb

If none work , then check the brake light switch

Common fault

:iagree:

If it isn't the brakelights/switch, then get the car scanned.

What happens if you go over 3000RPM? If it goes into limp mode, you have a serious problem which should be sorted ASAP.

Hi,

Well it seems to of cleared itself again, as it hasn't happened today...

Haven't got round to checking the brake lights, but will do at the weekend..

As far as limp mode over 3k revs, thats not something that's happening to me, but what would that mean?? You have me worried now!! ( It does it occasionaly, but I put that down to the sticky vanes problem, and it hasnt done that in a while....)

Thanks everyone!
