Hi Folks. Anybody have any ideas if cruise control can be added to a 07 octavia 1.9tdi elegance (irish spec.. not as well spec.d as uk model, what's new!!) and how much should it cost to do at my local skoda garage?

On another subject, it is very frustrating to see that UK Skoda car owners have far superior spec on their octavias than owners here in Ireland. The spec levels on UK octavia elegances are higher than those elegances in Ireland even though we are paying thousands more for the same models!! Same old story, tax, excise etc etc!!

Not sure whether it can be done, but the going rate in England is around £150 - £160 for an independent or one of couple of the members on here that do it, and maybe £200 - £250 at a stealers.

Many of the dealers are pretty quiet at the moment, so it might be worth negotiating.

are you not able to pop over the water and import a uk one?

Or pop over the water and see VRStu or Lummox at Unit 18 they does cruise control retrofits. PM them first obviously
