brake light swich

Featured Replies

hi there hope some one might be able to help have read many posts about the glow plug light flashing, which means that the brake light swich has failed, checking lights confirms this is the case. after removing the original item i phoned the part supplier in inverness the part number i quoted is 1j0 945 511a . looks to be original item having vw and audi markings. the item the parts person gave my wife is not similar except for the straight 4 pin conector, however it fits and you would think it should work but no joy, it is made by intermotor and the number on box is 51672 . the posts i have read quote part numbers and they mention a green swich now the fact that this is happening on a 98 1.9 td seat alhambra is where i dont know if its the same or not to skodas any help would be great as a trip to the parts place in inverness is a round trip of 120 miles and this will be the second trip thanks in advance carl..

After having one of these from German and Swedish and it being rubbish I would say only buy genuine, they are cheap anyway.

Any VAG dealer will do - You could try using one of the companies that advertise here offering mail order parts.
