Snow Foam Results

Mainly because you munch through loads of it otherwise, but also because you don't want to make it too strong and so dilution depends on your pressure washer.

When it comes in a 5 litre bottle you should be OK for a long time, I have only just started on my 3rd 5 litre bottle having done all the details I have done............

(And I don't snow foam my car when washing it either.........)

The karcher bottle is fine for prewash, eg foam it, let it sit while you're making up your wash buckets then go with a wash mitt, but if you want a decent clean without the mitt then you're after a pressure washer and HD lance IMHO.

I'm sure you are right but for the sake of a few quid I'll give it a whirl and see how I get on before lashing out. I've also found that my pressure washer is not quite a Karcher fit which I'd forgotten... but I can modify the Karcher kit to suit very easily (just needs a tweak with a hacksaw to narrow the bayonet lugs) - so that's another reason not to splash out too much just yet.

Cheers for all the info anyway.

I use Elite foam, and with my pressure washer, 2 inches of foam in the bottle, top it up to a litre of water gives around 5% concentration which is ideal. Use about half of a that everytime I do the car, so it does go a loooong way!

I've got a 1Litre bottle hanging off the HD lance attached to a powercraft and find the autofoam works well at about 1/3rd of the bottle to 2 thirds water.

I then use about a third of the bottle for a car.

As you say I'm sure you can adjust the mix rate to deal with the stronger mixes, I just like to have it this way as I can go a bit overboard with a couple of cars at once.

I tend to foam one or two cars weekly, so use a fair amount.

Re The karcher bottle. I had one and while it works ok, I think I'd have been better off keeping the £15 and putting it into the £45 for the real deal for my purposes.

If i'm doing one or more cars, that roughly the ratio i use in my 1L HD bottle too.

If i'm feeling nice, i sometimes do the wifeys car next door while i've got the stuff out.

I use one of those foam bottles I got with the Karcher.

I usually put about 100-200ml of Snow foam, a quick blog of Megs NXT GEN then fill it up with water.

Seems to work OK, but it doesnt get all the dirt off I still need to wash it over with the mitt or a fine layer of dirt is still left.
