prometia mach 11

Featured Replies

anyone here played with extreme cooling on their system?? i fancy getting one of these and wondered if anyone has seen one and know what they are capable of?? i am running an athlon xp 3000+(400fsb) at 3200+ at the mo and don't know what it will go upto, some say about 4800 but i dont know what else might be needed

nVENTIV whos makes the prommies have gone bust so you better off getting a Vapochill. Make sure your motherboard supports 4 mounting holes around the cpu.

In my honest opinion they're too expensive unless your a true hardcore overclocker, then go for it .

Review here: http://www.tomshardware.com/cpu/20031021/index.html and video how they installed here: http://www.tomshardware.com/images/thg_video_8_prometeia.zip (divx required)

Agree, Water is good enough...unless your serious.

Pretty much gave up OC when the PIV was launched, migrated from a few OC'd Athlons. Now confined to a laptop but it keeps the noise down :D

I was entertaining water, the phase stuff was just crazy. As Chanser says prommies are a chance now. Vapochill being pretty much alone in the space will not help unless somebody else is coming round the mountain.
