Hi i'm the madirishman living in norwich, i drive a race blue fabiavrs, great fun car puts a smile on my face everytime, only drawback is the noisy rear discs, anybody got any solutions to this problem, mine is an 07 june wth 11500 miles, cheers

Hiya.

I would suggest using a search, but that will turn up some hundreds of threads! So instead I'd suggest putting more detail of what sort of noise you have and when (be specific, eg if the noise only happens in reverse then say so) in the Fabia 1 forum.

Thanks for the welcome.on the the rear disc problem on my fabia vrs it's a grinding noise on low speed braking. Is there any suitable non- patent pads anybody would recommend.

So had both rear control arms replaced as the bolt was seized so I couldnt get the tracking done..now the tracking place say they can't get the camber inside spec because there is no adjustment for that and it will be OK as toe is good now.. Have attached the results.. Is the camber adjustment not this bolt in the pic..(which stands a chance is seized aswell)

Neigbour with a Fabia Mk4 called me recently, his drivers door and the rear (right) passenger doors were partly open with what looked like a stainless steel rod jamming the two doors in their partly open/closed positions, to make a long story short, it was the door umbrella that apparently had shot out somehow or other and jammed the two doors, he had partially opened the back door to let his dog out I think and had let his own door partially open, or something like that. I know that i have posted in 3-4 other topics the photos of my modified console (in various stages) but i think it's proper to have them all in one topic plus informations for the step by step procedure. Maybe another member will read it and try to modify his or someone can find via Google Search the photos and have an inspiration. Hi, It happened twice now that I walked past my parked and locked Mk IV Octavia and I noticed that the infotainment system was on and the radio playing. Anyone had this before? Both times it was on a sunny day, so quite warm inside the car. Is there any way so that the infotainment system can only be switched on with a key present? Car is from Sep 2020 with 1941 software version. Thanks, Peter
