Electric Mirror Problems

Hi,

I have just brought my Octavia and the electric mirrors do not work, I was told on buying it that there was a fuse missing and that this was the only cause of them not functuing. Where is this so called fuse? (if this is the case). I have looked throught the handbook and cannot find one listed on the fuse box diagram.

Can anyone help?

Hi, isn't the fuse box on the right hand side of the dashboard? It fits up against the drivers door when it's closed.

Hi I looked at the fuse box diagram in the manuel and couldnt see one listed as doing the mirrors but will have a look tomoorrow.

I can't remember the thread involved like, but someone posted a full fuse diagram in this forum, so try a search.

Just checked fuse box and all fuses are fine. There are a few gaps but I do not know if this is just from where they did models with more electronics on that they then use these gaps. Does anyone know what fuse would deal with the electric mirrors and where it is located in the fusebox.

If it were a fuse then the windows/central locking wouldn't work. Given that both mirrors dont move, it is most likely to be the switch. Check that connector hasn't come out.

It could also be the wiring between the switch and the electronics box attached to the driver side windows motor.
