Testing out new camera

I bought myself a compact digital camera last week as I wanted something that was easier to carry around than my SLR/bridge camera.

Decided on the Canon Ixus 80IS as I used one of the first versions of the Ixus and was very impressed with it. I took it to Northumberland where I was working this week and had a play .

Didn't get to take any decent pics during the day as it snowed Rather Alot.

Very impressed with the macro function:

Macro with flash (this has been enlarged quite a bit which is why the background's gone a bit funny but it was fine on the original):

White object, white background (my mode of transport yesterday): need to play with white balance settings and there's a bit of aberration but not too bad:

And lastly, a bit of precision parking I did

Overall very pleased with the camera, just need some good daytime light for some landscape pictures
