Who has the most powerful Mk2

Featured Replies

Hi guys, spending most of my time in the Mk1 forums i rarely venture off into new territory and being a fan of the Mk2 anyway i just wondered who has the most powerful Mk2 ?

Pics and figures always accepted !

I think you will need to wait for Sibart.;)

Maybe not the most powerful but i'm running 288bhp on standard turbo.

So when are you going for a bigger Turbo Michael??

Micky32 and FocusZetec are probably running the most on standard turbo setups but afaik Sibart is the only one to have gone down the KO4 route on a MKII Octy and that is well in excess of 300bhp.

Back in the olden times I had one too on an OEM KO3 turbo and the max we managed to get from it was 285bhp before the injectors maxed out, pics belolw:-

I don't think i'll bother changing the turbo, the car is fast enough for me.

will 210bhp/397Nm (293ftlb) from a vRS TDI qualify? Best I know of. Verified here;-

Does the Mk2 use a k03 then? I take it its not the same as the Mk1 k03 and i didnt expect you guys to be running k04 's either,i thought skoda would of used newer turbos no?

Impressive figures guys!!!

No, the ko3 on the 2.0 has the same flow as the 1.8t ko4.

May not be for much longer

I was hoping the CR TDi would yeild a tad more power than the PD :o

Don't think its verified yet though

Mine has got the benefit of a K&N 57i induction kit and runs on Shell V-Power; hence a bit more power than the norm of 200-203bhp for a PD.

I have on reflation thought that I ought to have got it remapped with OE filter and supermarket fuel. Superchips didn't want to overdoit so held it back at 210bhp; in OE spec they would have got it to, say, 200bhp and them the 57I and Power would take it to 215-218bhp. I didn't so C'est la vie.

iirc my friends VRS TDI got 205bhp and 310lb/ft torque - also just using a Bluefin remap - verified on Dyno Dynamics rollers. Shame she drives everywhere by changing up at 2,000 rpm really. ;):rofl:

Steve (Makefish) was to blame for my upgrades - he let me take his out for a spin at the last JKM rolling road day and mine was booked in within four weeks for all the work
