Electric Windows not working

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Ive just bought a 53 plate Octavia estate, and non of the windows work. Chief suspect is the fuse, but there doesnt seem to be one where my local Skoda dealer said there would be... ie, next to the steering column tucked away, Ive had a look, and I can only see one fuse..

Thanks

Simon

If there isn's a fuse in the place marked for it, try adding one - maybe the previous owner simply removed it!

This pic shows how to access the fuses -

Added pic in case OP couldn't find fuse box

If its a 53 plate then surely that will be Octavia 1.

Oops, have I put this in the wrong place?!

Nice try with the fuse box... It's not in there!! If you remove the panel directly above the pedals, you find a few relays, and it should apparently be up there. The fuse is not listed in the handbook (the fuses behind the panel you have shown are the ones in the book) as it is a 'workshop job' to get to it and change it... for the sake of a 50p fuse I would rather save the £xxx and change it myself!
