Just to say hello and ask a question

Two years ago I became the proud owner of a two year old octavia estate[ the car is now four years old] and is the 1600 petrol model. Before the three year guarantee was over the light for control system for exhaust came on and i took the vehicle to the main dealers. They said that it was a software problem and fixed it f.o.c. Six month later it happened again this too was blamed on software and it was fixed again.Six months later the catalitic converter broke up. This time it was not under warrenty and the bill is £445. Is this just my bad luck or is it a common problem as the car has only done 25000 miles:confused:

I'm not aware of any known issues with the catalytic converter.
