vrs smoking.

Featured Replies

I have an 02 octy vrs that i've just got but after 2 weeks have noticed 2 problems.

1 seems to blow oil out of the filler cap, although cap seems loose?

2 after ticking over for a while today then driving it, it blew out massive amounts of blue smoke which cleared on driving but then returned when ticking over??

Are these likely to be turbo related or rings? car seems to drive ok,no power loss and no dash lights on.

If turbo, what turbo am I looking for to replace it?

Has the oil been overfilled?

when i washed my car i got some of the shampoo in the exhaust and it blew blue smoke for about 5 days after but then seemed to stop. when i was driving it ran clear but when i stopped at lights etc it was blue and thick again. now it seems to have stopped for good.

Turbo will be white smoke. I would check the oil level is not over the max line to start with,
