Bibs or bra's anyone?

Featured Replies

I am having a custom made vynil bib made for the front of my RS.

It'll hopefully stop all the chips that ensue on track days.

It'll be lined in cotton and fixed by heavy duty velcro and carefully tucked in flaps.

If it's successful I'll tell you how much and if anyone wants one you can let me know. They will come in black and grey.

All the vents will be there and it'll go back 24" along the bonnet from the grille, wrap around the front air dam and hug the curves I hope.

Don't larf until you see it!

Can't wait to see a picture :D

And one for the missus , as she is a messy eater , perhaps in yellow ;)

Good for welsh forest routes aswell no doubt...ala Briskoda meet...keep us posted, might be a "good" thing to have. Problem is as I showed Ian I have a 3-4 sq mm black area in my green bonnet from where a rock removed the paint. Ironically the front lip is almost perfect still.

That said Jon's front is nearly white on his black beast!

I'm waiting to be proved wrong :D

I remember these odd lookings things in the honda crx, Are you planning to keep it on all the time of just for the track?

On for Track Days only otherwise my vRS will look like one of those Chefs on Ready Steady Cook if you get my drift!!!

I remember a lot of 911's , VW Beetles and Karmann Ghias used to wear 'Bras' especially in the USA. Id like to see a pic of your car in one!

I wouldn't! eek.gif Those of us who live in East Anglia will be familiar with bib-clad cars belonging to members of the US Forces stationed in this area. I have yet to see a pretty one.........bib, that is. (Or a vRS for that matter).

It don't look too good - so I'll leave it off for Friday - then when I get time to fit it properly maybe it'll see light of day. Seemed like a good idea at the time - now where in Iraq did I hear that recently?
