Girl Phone

Featured Replies

I have been tasked with recommending a new mobile for a girl as I am the local Geek apparently.

Thing is, I know about high tech supercomputer phones, but have no knowledge of fashion phones. Help me out!

The only guidelines are:

Must be clamshell

Must have screen on outside to tell you who's ringing.

Must have camera (at least 2 MP)

Must have good battery life.

Likes SonyEricsson, Motorola

Cannot be too complicated to use.

Any ideas?

A pink one?

None ,but suggest re-arranging priorities , :D

No1 - must have very good battery life

No2 - Cannot be too complicated to use.

Thankyou very much for your commendable replies!

you know that joke about the Husband Store? What is it about women wanting the moon on a stick?

My wife wanted something similar but ended up with a Samsung U900 Soul. Not Clamsheel, not easy to use but its pink

Samsung slides are very good, and cheap as anything.

I would say w580 but it will only break ing the first 3 months and then take 2 months to get the parts to fix it.

You could look at the new Aura, the V9 or even the u9

Failing that just get a Samsung u900 in Pink. They are ok.

You can get a Motorola Razr in pink, and it checks most of those boxes (not sure about camera resolution).

Ok, so it's not a clamshell, but this should suit most women imho, it can even be coloured pink, be used as a make up mirror and has excellent battery life. Repairs are easy to make and spares can be found in the bin after tea time ;)

Oops double post.

No delete button anymore?

Nokia 6600 slide.

Matches very few of the above specs, but I got my wife one for Xmas and she loves it!
