Just ordered a Fabia vRS

Featured Replies

Hi Guys....I just ordered myself a new Fabia vRS on saturday.

The next 4-6 weeks will be the longest of my life :P

Got one on order in black with Cruise, Xenon's and the Revo re-map.

I couldn't beleive my ears when the dealer told me they re-map from new and it doesn't effect the warranty!

From my experiance so far, I definately recommend Rainworth Skoda in Notts to anyone wanting to buy a new car.....especially if you want one thats been re-mapped

I was a little unsure at first, seeing as it will have 0 miles on the clock and an extra 50bhp to tackle when running in but after a phone call to the company they use to do the work I was a lot more confident about everything.

They use a company called JBS Auto Designs so i gave them a call last week to ask a few questions and they where very helpful and told me everything i wanted to know.

What can i say guy's....

I'll probably be around more and more as the time gets closer

I look forward to meeting you at the traffic lights :)

While your dealer stays in business that may well be true.

If you ever need to go elsewhere for warranty work you might just find they disagree.

Enjoy the car, and welcome

Get the dealer to put in writing the fact that the car has been delivered with a REVO remap and that they will honour the SkodaAuto (first 2 years) and SkodaAuto UK (third year) warranties in full. In that context you need to be aware that the new vehicle warranty provided by SkodaAuto 'will not apply to any component that has failed due to neglect, or misuse, or has been materially altered or modified without the written approval of SkodaAuto.

Good thinking...

The re-map is on the order paperwork etc but it would still be nice for peace of mind for something in writing to back me up if anything does go wrong with the car or the dealership.

I remember when searching for my Fab VRS i booked a test drive with Rainwoth motors. I drove over 100 miles down to Rainwoth motors only to be told "oh dear didnt the other chap tell you, that car has probably allready been sold". Went for a test drive anyway and haggled a trade in price and asked to be kept informed. Never had a single courtesy call from them :thumbdwn: .

Finally bought my VRS from Gorner Skoda in Warrington. Helpfull friendly staff with a great aftersales service, would higly recommend  .

Cant aggree with your views on Rainworth motors but i can aggree with you on your choice of car. A great motor. Im sure you will be very happy esp with having a remap (just booked mine in with Jabbasport, cant wait)

Happy motoring

I have a story a little bit like that with my local Skoda dealers in leeds but luckily they are only 10 minutes down the road. I visited them twice and they never rang me back with a price for my car and couldn't even arrange a test drive for me!

I went to rainworth motors when i was down in mansfield visiting some friends last week and they sorted out a test drive for me straight away and i went away a very happy man. They where supposed to get me a price and call me back a couple of days later but never did.

By this time i was getting pretty p**sed off and started to take it personal seeing as this was the second time it happened to me so i rang them on friday and basically told them i was coming down the next day and wanted to arrange a deal. Luckily the person I spoke too must have had some clout and had a word this the sales staff because when i arrived yesterday they where expecting me and I got all the welcoming and service i was originally hoping for.

Maybee its just a skoda thing and we struck lucky the second time
