cruise control on fabia greenline

Featured Replies

Thinking of getting a greenline but want cruise control . Not available as factory option . Can it be retro fitted ?

I've not worked on the Fabia range at all. But I have in my time fitted many aftermarket cruise control kits to various makes of car for customers, both on petrol and diesel variants. I don't see why the Fabia would be any different. However, there are many aftermarket kits and choosing the right one is very important. There are some rubbish ones out there. Features differ from make to make also. I suggest studying what's out there and speaking to a Skoda mech about it.

You dont need a aftermarket kit. Standard skoda cruise stalk and wiring loom is fine + VAG com, it can be retro fitted, alot of dealers can do it for you

Dont be so sure on the Fabia II. Myself and Stu have looked into it ands its not as straight forward as Fabia I

Fitting an aftermarket kit is a real biatch on the II and I doubt your dealer will touch it as a job. Ask your dealer about the factory option, it wasn't listed as an option on the Roomster Scout, but I still got it.

Balls, didnt see this was in the fabia II section!

As Ross says it's not a straight forward job but is possible as long as you don't have the 'low rent' Boardnetwork controller.

If people have been quoted £300 from I dealer then I can see why, it is quite labour intensive.

Costs a packet - well over £300 to retro fit
