Carbonio Induction Kit

Featured Replies

That price is a bargain  buy it now before someone else does :P

CAI's are great but you do need a decent one for filter quality and Carbonio are amongst the best. I'm sure Rob Clubley will vouch for this.

I wouldn't say it was a bargain at that price but it will give you some nice induction noise

im not after the noise, i want a performance increase :-)

Then I wouldn't bother. You will gain virtually nothing with that alone. There is a map available through ebay for similar money that will give you serious increase in performance.

Do a search for ecu evolution on here and you will find positive reviews. I think thats their ebay name as well

i am actually wathcing that in my ebay, but i was going to go down the route of a milltek Full system, air filter, relocate the dumpvalve to coldside, add a forge recirculative, change the N75 valve THEN re-map, as i was thinking i could then get a stage 2 re-map then, am i missing anything? Im new to skodas but i dont think im to far off atm :D

You have done your homework :D

The DV relocation is an expensive and pointless exercise imo they are a lot of money for little or no gains.

I would save the money and upgrade the dogbone bush instead as it helps putting the power down even on a standard car and at around £25 I still think it's one of the best mods I've done

A rear anti roll bar is an excellant investment too

The rest is good though

:iagree: DV relocation is pretty pointless.

Carbonio CAI will give a nice noise but negligible performance gain.

ok thanks lads, where can i get a dogbone bush? and what is your opinion on the throttle body hose, do they expand under acceleration?

Are you missing anything??? ....Yes, uprating the brakes and suspension to handle the extra power and performance.

Gerry has some good advice there. Standard suspension struggles the moment you upgrade the power by any amount :thumbdwn: brakes have been ok for me on a stage 1 with my driving style but a 2 would probably be too much for them. I will go for better pads when the time comes though.

Dogbone bush can be purchased at Awsome GTI, I'm sure Sarah will be along at some time to give the prices but I think they are about £15 + VAT now

My Carbonio gave my octy an 8bhp gainover standard with no other mods ,sounds nice too,bit of a bugger to fit but it does also look the part and has an excellent quality filter

Is that from a test on the same rolling road with before and after fitment runs or just from a rolling road after fitment with no pre run?

If no pre-run your car may have that power before the filter.

Considering I have 201 total after a remap, Carbonio and TIP :P

No that was just one run at impossible performance

Going on factory figures for my octy being 180hp,i very much doubt that my car was producing 187hp completely standard ,car did feel livlier after fitting it so i guess thats why i got 187hp

I've seen quite a few standard cars make more than factory figures on Rolling roads, I'm not saying yours never but who knows for sure.

Mine does with no mods :) (that was at Impossible RR day in fact)

Oh right i never knew that, maybe your right then

I think rather than being proof that not all vRS's make the same horsepower as standard it underlines the fact that not all rolling road figures are accurate. The only way you can be sure if you get a power gain from a CAI is by running the same car, with and without a CAI, several times on several different rolling roads

Totally agree.

Hi

I must admit , I love the Carbonio`s for the sound more than anything.

But to be fair , throttle response should be better too

As has been said , it is quality product , sound superb!!!!

But then I am biased :D

As has been said too , the dog mount bushes , alot of people say , for the price , how long they take to fit......excellent modification :D

Awesome > Powerflex Bushes Golf Mk4 inc 4mo

£13.16 + VAT there

It can have a bit of vibration when fitted , but it does bed in ;)

Sarah

So Sarah your bush vibrated until it was bedded then, is that right
