Transporting 4 x alloy wheels

Featured Replies

Does anyone know if I could fit 4 x standard 16" alloy wheels with tyres on in the back of my Fabia vRS with the seats folded down?

Simple enough question! :)

I would say Yes, just put some old blankets down to keep the car clean and to stop the wheels sliding about.

Agreed - should go in maybe not all flat but defo fit

not actually tested by i got 4 16's with tyres in the back of an old shape (P reg) Ibiza so should be fine

OK tried and tested yeah you can but I would recommend sheets and maybe some old pillows for padding. Also mine were 17" spiders so 16" can fit. Just make sure you have the seats down fully and nothing else (like tools boxs etc) in the back. They don't fit side by side (I have to put two next to each other down one side of the car and lean the other two against them)

Thanks everyone :)

Reckon so. I carried 4 7x15 alloys in my mk2 Ibiza.

Did it a month or so ago, would go along with the recommendation of some sheets if they are not squeek clean though.

Yep will defo fit fine, I had a set of 18's in the back of mine last week, with tyres on!

I have had 4x 17s with 225/45/17 rubber on before, and an infinity basslink as well!

Tight squeeze but they went in!

But yeah get a polythene sheet!

I got 4x 16 alloys in the back, 3 on seats, one in rear left footwell.

I had about 8 in there hehe ;) - seats folded down.

A few things to bear in mind though - make sure you cover the boot and the sides where the wheels/tyres will rub to keep the dirt off the car.

Make sure you find a way of stopping the wheels from flying around, that way they are less likely to scratch the car or the rims :)
