Can anyone help with what profile of 215 tyre I need for standard vRS 17s?

It varies really but the standard size is 225/50/17 but a few people on here have dropped to a 45 profile it depends what you want and what will fit but i would think if you drop to a 45 or 40 profile then your changing the rolling radius of the wheel which may put your speedo out slightly,im sure someone will correct me if im wrong

I think this is the closest you can get dropping down to 45 profile tyres?!?!?!?!?

Sorry, to explain properly. I've currently just running on the standard 205/50/17s and I thought that it would almost certainly be ok to increase to 215s and wondered what profile I should go for to prevent any rubbing, using the standard rims. But having seen a few more posts it appears that 215 might be a bit conservative?

You should consider going up to 225/45/17. It's very close in terms of the radius, nobody has reported any problems, and it's a more common (hence cheaper) tyre size !

Make sure they give you the correct tyre speed rating... VR or W. HR might be okay, but unless you are getting HR's a lot cheaper, stick with the higher (VR or W) rating.
