Anyone got..

Featured Replies

One of these old school CPU fans kicking around? Or at least know where I can get one? The brake testing computer at work needs it or the supplier wants £1500 for a new system..

I may have one, although I did have a purge of all my old skool gear so it may have gone by now.

I'll have a look later for you, failing that try your local council tip, if it's anything like mine theres bound too be a shed full of old pc's and crt tv's/monitors. Drop the gaffer a fiver andI'm sure they'll let your havea rummage for 10 mins.

If you'd asked me last week I had two but they are noth now up at the local council tip! As fatty suggests that may be your best place to find a couple!

I've got one but I would say it is double the thickness to the unit you have there

Thanks everyone. Have passed all the info up the chain and will see what happens tomorrow. I might be printing the picture off for the men to have a rummage at the tip!

One was found down the tip, and it works! One very happy workshop manager. Cheers guys.

Put a bit of WD40 (carefully) on the bushes of the fan. This is what I do when mine play up. Its worth a quick careful clean of the fins as well before you put it back in.

give ww vrs a shout i know he has a lot of pc stuff he is getting rid of.

I think I've a box of old Slot 1 coolers and P2 CPUs in the attic.
