I have a problem with the central locking on my 1998 Octavia 1.8 SLXi. Please accept my apologies if this kind of problem has already been posted! I have had a look but i cannot find the same problem. It goes like this:

1. If i unlock the car from the drivers door using the key (not key fob remote) it unlocks all the doors bar the front passenger door. Once inside if i press the lock/unlock button on the driver door it locks and unlocks them all.

2. If i unlock it from the passenger side front door it unlocks them all. Once inside if i press the button it locks all doors bar the passenger door.

Does anyone know what is causing this? Any help would be much appreciated.

It's an 'orrible electrickery problem. My best suggestion would be to find an auto electrician.
