Brake Issues - Continuing....

Featured Replies

A while ago I developed a squeal under braking in the drivers side front wheel.

Being under warrenty I took it back to the garage, after some work, they said it would be fine and to take it away.

Within 30 mins the squel was back. So it was booked in again a week later.

The garage looked at it, and said it was a faulty caliper which wouldn't unwind. So they ordered a new caliper, and replaced it. I thought that would be the last of it.

All was fine for a few days - now the squel is back again - worse then ever before.

I have no idea what it could be, and even the garage are confused.

Has anyone got any possible suggestions - it definatly isn't a stone in the pads either btw.

Cheers all.

Everyone seems as stumped as me :/

At the weekend many of us spend our time with family, rather than on a forum ;)

I would have thought a sticky caliper because you just say the O/S only.Maybe it needs anti squeel shims on them although they should already have them or maybe some copperslip on the edges.
