clutch replacement

Featured Replies

So i need to replace the clutch and flywheel on my AUQ engine VRS,

priced the parts here and they want over 500Euro for the Duel Mass Flywheel and clutch kit in a dealers here in Dublin Ireland.

Gave GSF in belfast a ring and they have a kit for the AUM engine priced at about 300quid sterling.

the only problem is i want to be sure that the aum kit will fit the AUM 5-speed.

anyone shed more light on this?

when i enquired with the dealers here, nobody could shed any light on it. some didnt even know the auq was a 5-speed.

The flywheel and clutch combo for the vrs (06A 105 264 M) also fits the AGU,ARX and AUM engine.

good stuff. thats what i wanted to know.

will pick up a new clutch and flywheel straight after work on monday so.

only just realised that i parked the car up and it's been 5weeks since i drove it.

Surely it's worth getting a Golf VR6 clutch and G60 flywheel instead? Should work out cheaper + better performance...

i was going to go that route but cant seem to get both from the same source cheaper. GSF don't have a listing on their site for any g60 flywheel.

I'd ring them if I were you. Their catalogues are a bit useless and only show a tiny proportion of what they actually do.

Wonder how much VW would charge for the genuine parts?

Awesome Gti do an ECS kit I think

yeah, awsome gti do the ecs kit alright but thats 315pounds for that kit. then shipping to the south aswell on top.

it'd be the same as buying from the ECS website direct.
