Just joined the forum as I am on the lookout for a Fabia or Octavia diesel. I'm active on a few other car forums and I'm sure this one will be just as enjoyable:)

I need the car for work as I will be driving up to 1000 miles a week and need a sensible car that doesn't cost a lot to run like my other 2 cars. I will check the 2 relevant sections and get some advice.

Well I'm a proper forum member now as I bought an Octavia SLX Tdi from a forum member at the weekend.

Those make good mile munchers; I don't do a huge annual mileage, but mine still lets me knock off trips like London to Glasgow without more than toilet and sandwich breaks.
