Engine management light on.

Featured Replies

When I go on a long run in the car(about 100 miles or so) the engine management light comes on. I took it to my local mechanic( he used to have a skoda dealership) and he checked it and said it was something to do with the mixture. He reset it and the light went out. After another long trip the light came back on. As far as i know its a standard car with a cheapo ebay induction kit someone put on. Anyone got any ideas??

Thanks.

You need fault codes really.

Mixture could be anything really. Plugs, Maf, Lambda probe.

With codes its guess work tbh.

Mine started doing that & it turned out to be the MAF starting to go, but as said get the fault codes first.

Same as above had that problem on my ibiza cupra. changed the MAF and lambda probe.

Replace the Fleabay induction kit with stock intake, or a decent kit?

my girlfriend took the call from my mechanic and apparently it was a dodgy connection on a pipe from the turbo. She was vague with her description so will speak to him myself.
