My Vrs Stops pulling at 110 but if you keep your foot down it will get to 130+ very slowly though

ah so its not just mine then lol anyway around it ?

i didnt have any issues getting past 110 when i went to Germany last year

is yours remapped?

is yours remapped?

yes with some extras. but my mate had one and there were no issues with his neather.

If your is standard its going to run out of poof when it gets to 110 but will go past like the other posts have said.

The Vrs should go more than 110 remapped or not. Standard the Max speed is around 127ish, that will roughly be more on the clocks due to error. So I'd say there is something wrong

so its best to get my lil baby remapped then and try again lol

Were you taking the engine all the way to maximum power or driving in the torque band? To find your way in to moderate triple digit speeds you need to really make the most of the (few) revs the engine has got... she sounds sweet at 4500rpm too :D

I know someone who's had the speedo almost touching 140, and that's standard!

Although taking into consideration the speedo difference thats probably just about 128.

No I wouldnt say anyone is telling you to map it, more like either answer their questions to what revs you were using, or check if its unwell. As im not clued up on the vRS gearboxs 100% however I believe after MY05 they used the same gear box ratio's as my FR TDi, and before they used the Sport PD130 gear ratio's, in which case, standard your top speed will always be in 5th gear. Further more, my standard Ibiza managed 142mph on the clock which was around 135mph (gps) standard, when mapped I hit 149mph on the clock (140ish?) and now running the power I am running, probs not much more as its down to ratio's more than power.

However that being said, a mate with his Sport gearbox hit well over 150mph+ on the clock due to the extra power of the remap he had, meant 6th gear was then used for his top speed.

Topped out @ 134mph (GPS) on the autobahn on the way to CZ in '07

The stock one struggles to get the air in too, and it just stops pulling hard over 4k rpm, so you need 5th.

With a remap and PD160 + green filter it pulled up to 5k on mine (but I've got FMIC & hybrid).

The other thing is that stock, it will probably start to heatsoak a bit too ;)

On the flat standard and mapped i can only get the official top speed of 130mph!! thats it :)

Touched 145 in a Hybrid however, possibly more :)

Snap.

As much as i tried, it wouldn't go above that on mine either.

110 will be about it, then the speed will slow until you eventually reach top speed. The main reason is drag, the Fabia is not exactly aerodynamic so eventually you reach a point where the drag becomes to much versus the power. The easiest way to go faster quicker is to get a remap, then you will get there quicker, but to go a lot quicker will need a lot of power.

The car with the stock turbo cant get much higher speed wise but it does hit the top speed. With the hybrid and the FMIC it gets higher than 130 ;)

Didnt measure the time it takes to get there, but the shape of the car sure is not helping in getting high top speeds..

Tiggers stock vRS didn't seem to have any trouble getting to 130 on the continent last year.

Road conditions and incline as well as wind and passengers/luggage/drivers weight will all play a big part in attaining max speed. A downhill run will help, but on the flat or uphill it will be a struggle.

Nor me when I was there last year, sailed past 110, 120 and from 130 struggled up to about 135 before I had to back off.

Mine gets to 110 in about 16 / 17 seconds from a standing start and keeps on going a little too well for my liking. :o Things get a little hairy around 130 so to be honest once I get to 100/110 ish, that's fine for me. I just like getting there real fast.

lol do a bit of aerodynamic tuning and it might be a bit more stable
