Help! :(

Featured Replies

So I'm driving along nicely and then I get a loss of power and the car starts jerking and feels as if it's about to cut out due to fuel starvation :(

There's half a tank of fuel so not fuel and I had this happen yesterday which I put down to the fuel filter so changed it and it made a huge difference but this happened again so clearly now the solution :(

About 10 seconds later I got blackpool illuminations on the dash with my Traction Contol light soild, ABS warning light solid and handbrake warning light flashing... :thumbdwn:

I turned the car off and back on and they disappeared and so did the jerkyness but thats 2 mornings in the same place :(

So whats the verdict?

I need new rear discs and pads badly but couldn't get the spacers off to replace them but i'm guessing this has nothing to do with them as it's the engine dropping then rising revs...

had a wee search on here and uk-mkiv's and sounds like it's a common fault with vag's and that the source of the problem is a ABS Speed Sensor but i'll need to go get my vagcom to check it out :(

Now I will actually be driving hoping for it to come on lol

Also if anyone else has had this happen on the VRS what was the cause of it for you?

Difficult to say without any fault codes, and there should be codes if the dash lit up.
