Is there a 'correct' way of getting the trim off the inside of the tailgate? It doesn't exactly volunteer to jump out of position. Pretty damn tight, actually. I need to get to the rear squirter motor and piping.

if its the same as the hatchback , then to remove it start from the top and work down ,

but yes it can be a pig to remove , it helps if the trim is warm (sunny day) and you have a trim tool to lever it off

I have done it today. I used a long handled flat screwdriver to lever the trim off. It came off quite easily. Putting it back was a bit of a pain in the bum. Remember to poke the handle through when refitting.
