Got The Cambelt Replaced

Featured Replies

Took the car to the dealer today to get the MOT and cambelt/water pump done today. The 4 year old Elegance estate passed with flying colours:thumbup:, well apart from one of the rear tyres needs replacing soon. Hoping to keep the car for another few years yet so well happy after 4 years the car is standing up well.

If you dont mins me asking how much did it cost for cam belt replace etc

i'm sure a dealer will charge around £450 for a cambelt service

*correct me if i'm wrong, which i may be*

Cambelt on it's own can be got for £250 if you shop around, £180 at an independent. Full 60K service + belt will be about £450 though, sometimes quite a bit more.

Got the price down to £340 for the cambelt/water pump and MOT after the dealer matched a quote from a Independent garage.
