"Need to have word with the insurers though as the courtesey car the bodyshop will provide is a fricking Hyundai Getz!!!:("

That's like the time my Mondeo was rear-ended, and the courtesey car I was offered was a Nissan Micra, the old one!

That'll be a new door, Skoda don't supply door skins and I suspect that the sill will be pulled and beaten back into shape. If the repair is good you shouldn't even notice.

The only downside is that insurance approved bodyshops are quite often approved for financial reasons, which could mean that the repairs are not as good as they could be. They tell the bodyshop that they must provide you with a car (and use this benefit to sell their policies) and are not going to contribute to the bodyshops cost of running a courtesy car fleet, is it surprising that they won't supply a like for like replacement? When you have aword with your insurers, get them to put their hands in their pockets to get you a 'decent' replacement car, it'll be less cost for the bodyshop.

I'm less worried about the repairs now to be honest. Mate at work reckons he had his car fixed by the same place and he had the whole back end of his Audi A3 wiped out by an arctic. What will be will be. I have already lined up a better car as well - im in insurance so know how to work a claims department/underwriter to my advantage

Dont worry. Good body shops are miracle workers. Its amazing what they can do. Your car will be good as new and no-one will ever know. I know how p****d off you must be but it'll soon be forgotten

Cheers for comment. Car goes in tomorrow via the acc management company so will see in a week and a bit. As its a company car I am being more realistic and am now of the opinion that if they do do a shoddy job, it goes back to the company and its not my problem at the end of the day. If they do a good a job I will still consider buying out at the end of the lease.
