Bigger brakes? Found a guide on a Czech site, need some help translating.

Featured Replies

Hi everybody

I have read about on this site, about getting bigger brakes on the Skoda Felicia.

Felicia Klub

and a translated version by google:

Oversat udgave af http://www.feliciaklub.cz/?id=r_kotouce_1

But there is something i need to know before i can order my parts:

Should the brake calipers from the Ford Fiesta, be for ventilated or non ventilated dics?

And should the Calipers, be from a model with or without ABS?

And do i need the bracket/carrier from the Fiesta that the calipers is secured to?

Its part number 3 on this picture http://www.vagcat.com/p/B101/615000.png

And On the rear, can i use the stub axle from the felicia, or do i need the one from a Golf 3?

Its part number 15 on this picture http://www.vagcat.com/p/B101/500000.png

I hope someone can translate it for me, because google translate is not to good at Czech.

I have also posted these questions on their forum, but no answer yet.

Best Regards

Morten

not sure about most of it, but for the rear you will need the stub axles of the golf

Vented - the ones in the picture are vented discs from a renault.

And should the Calipers' date=' be from a model with or without ABS?

Makes no difference

And do i need the bracket/carrier from the Fiesta that the calipers is secured to?

The photograph shows the Fiesta Caliper Mount

And On the rear' date=' can i use the stub axle from the felicia, or do i need the one from a Golf 3?

You'll need the golf stub axle, because it has the two lugs for the caliper mount on it - the Felicia one doesn't, but the golf on bolts straight on.

Cheers
