I hear what you say about the look of the steering wheel and agree. Also the gear knob is not particulary sporty at least the MkI octy vrs had the logo. Back to the steering wheel, the important bit is the chunkiness of the rim (with extra grabby bits at 10 to 2 position) and its diameter which make for a comfortable grip.

Nice car, shame about the colour, gloss white seems a bit chavvy. Still confuses me as to why people buy white cars, must be a right PITA keeping it clean - and soul destroying when you do bother to clean it as it looks dirty 5 minutes later.
