Hello, a newbie to the forum but have been driving Octavias for several years. I have a 51 plate 1.8T 4x4 which keeps throwing the serpentine auxilliary drive belt. The belt and tensioner are new and there is no play in or damage to the pulleys - Any Ideas?

Also the remote locking no longer works, anyone know anything about the comfort control module? Where is it for starters. Cheers guys, Dave

Hiya.

Look in the Octy 1 forum for convenience module stuff. For the serpentine, check the routing against a diagram like in Haynes, and check that the new auto tensioner is.

Thanks Ken, still finding my way around the forum. The tensioner is new and the belt properly fitted, it has run ok for 6 weeks before throwing again!
