5th Gear The Other Night

Featured Replies

I think the car is amazing, sounds and looks great even in green :D I have read so many reviews of this car that i have lost count, but i have yet to read a bad review! Love or hate Ford the RS is awsome! what else could be better in that price range as an every day car/beast?

I love to get one of these... I'll probably end up with another ST-2 though..

Oh and just for all the "Focus ST needs to be followed by a petrol tanker brigade" I had one for a year and my overall average (including a trip to the 'Ring) was 28mpg and it is possible to get 40mpg over a full tank.. I filled up after 413miles and the fuel light hadn't even come on yet. :D

As for fit and finish of Fords.. I never once took my ST back to the dealers for ANY warranty work which is more than I can say for my Fabia.

As with any maker specific forums you always get the put down of other makes. I have a Fiesta Sportvan which is a nicer place to be in than a mark 1 Fabia,no problems what so ever. I have never driven the mark 2 Focus so can't comment on its handling but as a rule of thumb fords are noted for there driver appeal.

As someone who can be called a car nut I cant stand the make put down, just keep it in mind that one day you may buy a ford over a skoda because you may find it to be a better car.

Any make if its good its good.;)

Steve.

I've driven a fair few STs, all of them have sounded awesome, and handled well - they've shown their bulk but still do handle well.

I would love an ST!
