Fabia VRS Cambelt Change

Featured Replies

Hi

Ive been quoted £289.00 for cambelt kit including tensioners and waterpump. All fitted. Is this a reasonable price? Also is it best to have the waterpump done at the same time.

Thanks

That's not a bad price at all & for the sake of approx £30 Etc for the water pump, yes best to have it changed at the same time. If it were to fail at a later point in time, It would be the same Full cost all over again just to replace that.

ok thanks mate. Its with Nationwide Autocentres. Been very good for services etc with the last 2 cars i have owned.

I'm getting mine done soon and I'm glad you said where you were getting it done, will have to check out my local one.

I also echo dfullb in that it's best to get waterpump done at same time, my friend who works for seat recommended to me to have it done as it barely costs any extra labour!

Again that is a good price all in, just check they using OE parts and not cheapies. Have heard good things about this co. from family & friends. Be sure to report back how Nationwide Auto performed for our benefit.
