Does anyone know if this is removable, or a permanent fixture? Also, does this third one match the other two in size, shape and positioning?

Thanks for that. I've ordered a vRS with this option but am buying blind as I've never seen one. I was interested to find out what I was getting as I really don't want a silly 3rd headrest like the dwarf sized one found in the Ford Focus (looks really daft), or one that is not removable, as in the case of the BMW 3-series. Unfortunately my dealer could not help much with this question, hence my post.

I think all Octy vRS' come with them as standard.

If you're talking Fabia's though, someone else will have to help.

The third rear headrest is smaller in height, similar to the those found in the new Golf.

Well bu55er me, had the car for two years and never noticed the difference, I am going to have to check now when I return home, I thought that they were all the same size, and I have removed them on numerous occasions.

Octavia's (from ambiente I think) used to have a choice of rear seats, either two headrests, two proper seatbelts, an armrest in the middle and a lapbelt, or three headrests and three 3point seatbelts.

In the Octavia Vrs the three rear headrests are the same size, in the Fabia the (optional) central headrest is smaller.

It might not be the vRS, but I can't imagine it'd be a different size. Here's the Skoda website which has a picture.

Sorry but is anyone ready my posts. This question was listed in a Fabia section and all the Octavia boys are responding, confusing the issue.

neilwilliams posted a link which clearly shows a smaller middle headrest for a Fabia.
