Hi All

I have managed to get 2 CD's into the radio/player of my Fabia. Does anyone have any idea how to remove them without destroying the player - I'm not worried about the CD's.

I've tried poking around in the slot with a sliver of plastic but that didn't work. So I thought I'd ask the experts before taking the hammer out of the toolbag.

Sounds daft but I thumped the side of the dashboard where the cd player sits and out popped discs or if you can thump underneath the cd player in the tray below.

Failing that try and insert say like a leaflet into the drive as it has been known for this to eject the discs.

If you can see them put some superglue on to something thin and attach it to the disk and pull out, and before any of you say anything it worked for me and did not cause any damage.

When a CD got stuck in SWMBOs Fuby, I managed to release it using a credit card which I managed to slide under the CD and persuade it to come off the spindle and out.

Take it apart.

agree with joel. if you cant eject. (sometimes theres a manual override pin-hole) then take the unit out, unscrew and remove.

you could also try a pair of very thin-nosed tweesers but the likelyhood is that the CD is attached onto the round meachnism in the middle (what it spins on)

I tried your suggestion of using a leaflet - a postcard in fact. I shoved it in, hit the eject button, pulled on the postcard which dragged out the first disc, and hit eject again to receive the second disc.

What a result.
