Harry_vRS' Octavia vRS

Featured Replies

Hi, welcome to my car thread.

I drive a 2006 (56) Octavia vRS in Diamond Silver, which came with 18" Zenith alloy wheels, Dual-zone aircon, and rear electric windows.

Since buying the car I have done one or two modifcations to the engine, drivetrain, chassis, interior, and exterior. Below you will find the list of things I have done.

Engine (280bhp & 335lbft)

Revo Technik Stage2+ Remap

EVOMS Ram Air Intake

EVOMS Engine Cover

Pipewerx Custom 3" Turbo Back Exhaust With Dual 6x4" Oval Tailpipes

Autotech Fuel Pump

Neuspeed Hi-Flow Discharge Pipe

Neuspeed Hi-Flow Inlet Pipe

Eurojet PCV

Forge Motorsport DV

Forge Motorsport Spacer

Iridium Spark Plugs

Chassis

Koni FSD Dampers

Eibach Springs

Eibach Front & Rear Anti Roll Bars

Drivetrain

ECS Rear Engine Bush Insert

Interior

Custom vRS Metallic Seatbase Inserts

Removed Rear Seats To Reduce Weight

Exterior

19" Audi R8 Replica Alloys

Goodyear Eagle F1 215/35/R19 Tyres

Lighting

HIDS4U 8000K HID Upgrade

The above modifications have resulted in a very powerful and well setup car for the road. It is incredible to drive and never fails to bring a smile to my face. :)

Here are some pictures to show you

Si

That's a very very nice car you have there mate

Some excellent mods too, i'm not surprised you have a smile on your face when you drive it.

How do you find the HID kit? It's something I may look to do in the future.

Future plans?

Keep us informed

Cheers

Damian.

You know I love your car Harry.

- Post up the video with the exhausts! :)

Looks great!

Just FMIC then big turbo :P

Thanks for all the comments :)

I currently have no plans for the immediate future. Might upgrade the brakes to R32 spec but other than that, it's staying as is. Going KO4 or big turbo will cost thousands, which I don't particularly have right now.

Damo, the HID is superb mate. Very sharp kick pattern - I never get flashed and the visibilty benefits are amazing. Well worth doing :)

It is a fine car Harry, take care of it mate :)

Thanks Len

It's certainly not going to end in the way my poor Fabia did :o

Nicely sorted Harry ....As for the brakes, they are superb set up bud, you'll be nothing but chuffed with them.

Save for the turbo ;)

Thats a nice car!

Loving the alloys and exhaust, very individual which is good.

where do the Custom vRS Metallic Seatbase Inserts fit. Is it on the handles that raise and lower the seats, you have any pics.

Loving the back seats being removed aswell. I could never get away with that with the wife. I bet its responsive with all the stuff done to the engine and the weight removed

GR8 car, just KO4 now, I drove sibarts at the JKM RR day, One word "WOW", awesome setup.

Harry

Nice set up there:thumbup:

What's the Eurojet PCV for/do?

What's the Eurojet PCV for/do?

Carl:thumbup:

it's a stronger valve to replace the factory PCV as they are prone to failure (like everything on these engines *sigh*) It gives no performance increase it's only there for peace of mind.

It's job is to vent pressure from the crankcase to the inlet manifold. (I think!!) lol

  • 1 month later...

this car is stunning! nice one

Cheers!

So harry now the other half has told you your not selling yours to buy that R32, will you be telling her that your getting bigger turbo instead. Stamp your foot down, lol

  • Author

Haha - well I have just sent an email to JKM ;)

Glad your keeping it...even though I have lost out on the HID kit :P

One of the best mk2 VRS's on the forum IMO

Cheers

Latest mod done today - nice old Lady decided to reverse into my car in a car park, just as I was walking back to it.

I was cringing and thinking "PLEASE STOP!!" but no, she carried on unaware.

Not much damage done, but the front bumper now has a chip in it :@

I was not best pleased with her!

Have you buried her yet ?:D

  • Author

I kicked her in the fanny!

Ooh young man .

Nice motor and I do like the Octy MK2...........:D

Do you have any pics of the car without the 'altered' imaging?
