Stage 1 Remap Figures? Fill in the blanks . . . .

Featured Replies

Anyone got the missing figures for a Fabia VRS remap with no other mods? :confused:

Std Power = 130 Bhp and 171Lbs/ft

APR = 150 Bhp and 249 Lbs/ft

AMD = 170-175 Bhp and 221-241 Lbs/ft

JABBASPORT = (? Standard map not custom one if anyone has details pls ?)

CUSTOM CODE = (? Standard map not custom one if anyone has details pls ?)

Any others anyone would reccomend with figures if pos please. :thumbup:

Jabba and CC will probably be about the same as AMD, but if you think remaps are all about peak figures and nothing else then you need to do some more research. ;) :P

There's smoothness of the curve, shape of the torque curve, where torque cuts in and how it dies off, where power feeds in and tails off. So much more than just "170bhp" :)

Custom code stage 1 was pretty powerful - the LOWER lines are the custom code stage 1 results. Please note this was a generic map *however* with FMIC & Turbodynamics stage 1 turbo fitted.

Jason's comments are spot on though :)

In the past, maps used to be very spiked low down, and would pretty much murder your clutch if you were not cautious. Jabba springs to mind there. Over time, the better tuners out there, including Jabba I hasten to mention, improved their smoothness of delivery.

The maps from the big vendors or those who have experience in mapping such as p-torque for example, are very much refined for the Fabia vRS stock setup.

added link as I forgot lol

The figures will allways be different between cars, but also as Devonutopia said, the peak BHP is just that, A PEAK FIGURE! you need to look at the power and torque curve, its not the power that kills a clutch, its the torque as that is the turning force applied. IMHO a lower power/ torque figure and smooth curve will be much better for you in the long term than a high power/torque figure and aggresive curve due to the later providing much more strain on the running gear. If i were you i would be asking for dyno print-outs to analyse the power/torque curves rather than peak power/torque figures, especially on a standard car.

(im rather impressed with what ive just written considering ive been down the pub for more than a few drinks lol)

Std Power = 130 Bhp & 229Lbs/ft

APR = 150 Bhp & 265 Lbs/ft

AMD = 170- 175 Bhp & 221-241 Lbs/ft

JABBASPORT = 165- 170 Bhp & 285 - 295 Lbs/ft (generic map)

JABBASPORT = 170-180 Bhp & 290 - 310 Lbs/ft (custom map) clutch dependant

CUSTOM CODE = 170- 175 Bhp & 270- 280 Lbs/ft (phase 1)

CUSTOM CODE = 175- 185 Bhp & 280- 310 Lbs/ft (phase 2) also clutch dependant

REVO = 170 Bhp & 290 Lbs/ft

:nutkick: hows that mr F is that what you were after

Worth pointing out the stock car tends to put out 140-145 Bhp regularly

I ran a 173.5bhp and 347lb/ft torque on a Star Performance map, standard LCR ran 225 so rollers were pretty close :D

my jabba generic map on a standard blt engine 176bhp 346 ft lbs:cool:

Nice to hear... I'd like to have mine RR'd, but imagine it's top dollas!

Only had the car for... *counts* 10 hours now, so maybe I should just live with it before I start testing and thrashing it to death :D

Cheers Mr Pearce :orb_opera

How much torgue is the standard clutch good for? :jedi:

:chairs: i could be wrong, but id throw in........... its more of how the torque comes in, or how your foot puts it down?

jabba seem to have the cut of point of the oe clutch around 280 290

but style of driving would have a big part

of those evil lil torque spike sorts :jedi:
