Took my estelle to the MOT.

Featured Replies

For the first time in 10 years, and it almost went thru. To big play in right rear hub and bad braking on the same.

Thats the only thing after standing 10 years under a tree in nothern Sweden...

And the only thing i replaced is regular service parts and the main brake cylinder, ofcourse ive been fiddeling on other stuff but no replacements just cleaning and adjusting amazing car...

nice to see it on road again

And play in the hub bearing is probably knocking the brake shoes off, leading to the poor braking. Still, nothing wrong with looking at the brake shoes and mechanism when the hub breaing is being done.

I took the brakes apart, the Vw beetle brake drum tool fits perfect!

but what i noticed was that i could take off the crown nut by hand...

So i just cleaned the adjustment and bolt it on again and with force this time, se if it works going to MOT again...
