New front alloy for the Scout

Featured Replies

During that bad weather a fortnight ago I hit a very deep pot hole on my road. Being cautious I thought I would get my wheels checked for alignment and balance.

Alignment was fine but when they checked the nearside front wheel I could see the alloy shaking on the machine!!!:eek:

The pot hole had caused a flat spot on that alloy so a trip to JCB Skoda in Basildon to order a new one less than a week I have a brand new alloy. I did to forget to ask to check the rear nearside wheel for the same damage I will do that when I change the front one over. £120.00 for new alloy. to JCB Skoda.

I am going to try and recover some of my cost for this from the council as our road is in a shocking state. Incidentally the hole I hit has been filled in recently.

Keep us posted on how you get on with your council claim. I am also in Essex, so far have avoided wheel damage but I am sure it's only a matter of time---
