vRS and Passat Brake Swap

Featured Replies

Now, got my new passat and the brakes compared to the vRS are frankly pants

Can I swap brakes, i.e. put my vRS 312mm brakes on my Passat? I know its possible if it was a non vRS octavia but I dont know if the passat brakes are the same

I realise its a bit of a long shot being a skoda forum but any help would be appreciated

Thanks,

Dan :)

I am pretty sure you can, as the Passat is just a stretched Golf/Octi/etc platform, but don't take my word for it.

Im hoping i can just swap discs and caliper carriers, then the vRS goes back with red calipers :P

Never mind, looks like the Passat has already got 312mm brakes anyway, 345mm S3 Upgrade it is

just get the DS2500 pads for the passat then

I would but i dont fancy the group A rally car effect with the passat

Try EBC redstuff Ceramics on there as it's got to be worth a pop for £60 against a whole brake upgrade.

A lot more stopping power than OEM and I've not had any problems with them. As long as you don't track the car often you should be just fine. (All in my opinion of course).
