broken headlight peg

Featured Replies

anyone else broken the black plastic headlight peg that the white reatining nut screws onto?

Was wrestling with the headlight trying to refit it after changing the bulbs and it snapped

off to get some araldite

Realise that you need to align the reatining slider at the bottom of the headlight to make it easy to refit

Headlight seems steady enough with just the bottom fixing though...

Off to B and Q for some araldite

fixed it- simply drilled 2 holes in the peg and the broken off stud, then screwed a self tepper into the stud hole, cut the head off the screw and then screwed the peg onto it- all held together with araldite, and an invisible repair- cost- £6.90 for araldite

Do anyone know if the black pegs on the back of the headlight should screw in al the way, or are they adjusted to fet the best fit?

Thanks
