My columbus plays video on the move

Featured Replies

As the thread says...I was driving along about a month ago, and decided I wanted to listen to a music video I had on DVD..I pressed media, then video, and the DVD warm up screen appeared as usual. However, instead of the 'can't play video in motion' prompt, the video actually played...I pressed a few buttons, checked the radio, HDD, map & nav, & they worked fine, & the video still played if I let it.

I tried again over the next couple of days, and still had the video playing option, then it reverted to 'can't play in motion'

Well, being a gadget freak, I've been trying to play the video in motion again (purely out of curiosity) & it has done a couple of times.

However, I sussed it a few days ago. Sometimes, when maxidot is in MFD mode, the direction arrow ^ < > etc does not display beside the clock, but the map & nav still work. When this occurs, I'm able to play video in motion . I've tried this several times now, and always the same. I haven't done anything to my Columbus, it's bog standard .I can't understand how the ^<> arrows and video could be connected, but that's what happens

Anyone had similar, or are you all going to try it now
