Reflectors/lights in all four door

Featured Replies

Simple question on late 07 Octavia just bought.... Are the red reflectors in the doors only that or are they supposed to light up when running lights are on and doors are opened? Seem to remember that son's Fabia had same equipment installed and THEY lit up! Might be that this Octy is a Classic and therefore lower in spec?

I know from reading the Forum that it does not come with rear speakers in the rear doors as standard.

Anyone care to clarify? Thanks

I dont think they light up, they are there so that an approaching car can see the opened door with their headlights reflecting from the reflector.

Mine light up when the doors open - they are only on the front doors mind. Red light with white light at the bottom to help you see your way.

james.

Yup - same for my VRS. Front doors light up in same way as on the Elegance.

Brochure for latest facelift model indicates a similar feature only starts at Elegance level.

Mine light up too (Ambiente model).

Maybe the Classic spec don,t

I can see some LED mods coming on LOL

I suspect that because it's the basic Classic, this will mean these are refelectors and not lights. Mine are all red, and not split as James26 says, so all you guys with higher spec models have this as standard. Son's Fabia was a Comfort, not basic Classic so they probably DID light up on that one!

Anyone know whether the wiring loom is in for these and if so would they only need a bulb asembly to make live? Would also like to think that the rear speakers & tweeters were also pre-wired but I suspect not. Who knows the answers?

Thanks to all, meantime

@gstewart1943 the rear speaker/tweeter wires don't exist if you do not have the extra 4 speakers configuration. however it is a simple fit and should require no more than 2 hours of labour.i bought 2 aftermarket speakers with tweeters included in them so i didn t have to complicate myself with OEM tweeters that in my opinion are absoutely horrible..cheers
