Hi all

A silly question I know, but how reliable are the fault codes in pointing to which component is faulty.

I have had 00519 (MAP Sensor) and 00525 (O2 Sensor) come up. They have both been erased and have run the car again and only 00525 comes up. It has 88k on it, and looks like the next step is an O2 probe change.

All and any comments welcome.

i think 00525 is the code you get when the signal is intermittent, could be a dodgy electrical connection

Agreed.

Check all connections to all the sensors and connector blocks under the bonnet.

Might be worth unplugging the wires and checking for corrosion etc on the connections.

If not... then new lambda time me thinks!
