Murphy's Law

Featured Replies

is not that the law is a fact, everybody knows that, its when it happens.....

for example;

you go out, dress nice, smelling like a king, credic card payd and are with the girl you want ot impress in the car...

you stop at a ATM and the dam machine eats your Credit card....

same here, changed oil (as adviced) changed spark plugs (i use the cheap copper ones so i change them more often but is still cheaper and more efective) Bosh.... change fuel filter and air filter, drove for 30 min and in the fartherst place from my house... booom, stall, stalll, stalll, then cuts out...

i managed to make it run again but i just know its the head gasket... why? Open the oil cap and on top of the spash guard... a piece of paper (actualy cardboard like) so i'm guessing is a little piece of the something that is not supposed to be there...

oh, and i have light caqui pants on... so yeah, murphy's law hit twice, every time you put light pants, something makes them dirty

we call it sods law ;)

indeed this sounds really strange. could you take a photo of it?can't imagine.... yellow slime is okay if you just drive short distances...

Cardboard gaskets are more usually things like the thermostat housing, or if you need a gasket for an external oil fitting. Head gaskets have to be something a bit less flammible, because it gets up to several hundred degrees C in a combustion chamber.

i just though of something, is not the head gasket seal, the cardboar like paper thing must be from the oil filter (wich i didn replace cus they din;t have the one i use) and besides, your right O'Neil and i guess those pieces of oil filter where the cause of the stalling cus now is working fine (but propably will do it again if i dont clean out the oil again and fit a new filter)

the one thing i have to figure out is why the valve clearances are getting wider with engine hot instead of smaller
