Was spotted in the Sunderland area taken photographs and acting suspiciously around several vehicles in the area. Has been reported to the Police but i thought it would be a good idea to post on here to warn other Skoda owners in the area due to the way they acted.

From what happened it appeared that they were scoping various cars out and in particular my Skoda VRS. They parked up, took several photographs of the car, walked around the car whilst it was parked up on a private drive and it was suggested by the neighbour who spotted them to have taken details from the wheels, suspect they are going to try to nick the wheels (locking wheel nuts are fitted).

Anyway hopefully it will allow others to be more viligate incase the same person/s (car) is around your area.

The police in some areas would fit a tracker to the vehicle in the hope of catching them.

Hopefully the local force is one of them.

Might be taking pics so that they can "sell" the car or the alloys on Ebay. Keep your eye out and see if you spot it on there.

A mate of mine was watching some alloys - newish Seller, 100% feedback but based on 8 or 10 very low value purchases, courier delivery only etc etc. It got pulled eventually.

Or one of the those where the car is cheap but turns out its in Europe and will be shipped back after payment to Seller's uncle in Nigeria!

ill keep a look out have cctv outside my house so if they are around ill have good evidence to pass onto the police

Whilst we,re on the subject of suspicous cars , i saw a 58 reg new shape mondeo today , 2 x guys inside & on the roof there was 5 x ariels mounted on what looked like a square black plate no markings on the car at all , whizzed pasted me on Portract Lane about 2pm

Possibly Un marked police / D.V.L.A / trakker car

That's a nick to order job.

IMHO I'd be getting something like clifford blackjaxx fitted so that they can drive it away if they come at you for keys, you can call the police and then the car will stop the engine a short distance down the road.
