Black Fabia Vrs - Black Grill pics and splitter

Featured Replies

Just thought I'd post a couple of pics to show what a Black Vrs looks like with the chrome grill painted black and also front splitter fitted and light brows. I've also sprayed the wheel nut caps black magic as they always seemed to fade to a mucky grey colour. Let me know what you think!

And aero wipers! Looks very smart, specially with the shiney tires:thumbup: I can see the wheel nuts better on the pic - definatly a good move

Going to have to put some pics of mine up now

Looks good just one thing i did on mine when i 1st fitted it shave a little more of the centre bits so it sits more flat across the middle. Sorry but it used to annoy me but might not you lol

I actually prefer it that way. The missus calls it Gonzo so i guess i kind of think of the splitter as Gonzos smile! I did a Seat Leon at the same time and the Leon owner didnt like his smiling so we changed his, i'm keeping mine like it is. The splitter is really subtle but makes a big difference. And its cheap to do!

I chopped the centre lugs off flush with a bit of an angle so it meets the underside perfectly. I'll have to get a couple of pics up at the weekend, looks good though, I quite like your wheels nut caps

Very nice look mate.

Do you have to trim the edges to make it fit?

Yes. If you trim only a bit off first so it doesnt foul the wheel when fitting, then mark up how much you want to take off once fitted (I used a dremmel)

cheers mate i know i had to chop it down on my ZR

they suit loadsa cars lol

Thanks! Might try and do the lights black if i can figure out how to take them apart and spray the inside of them. I'm sure there will be somewhere on here to tell me how to do it. Also been looking at window tints and leather interior. Tints are obviously the cheaper option so will do that first. Got a quote for £130 for the rear, not sure if i should do the fronts with being worried about being illegal or not?

I was thinking of having the chrome sprayed black on my grill but seeing what it looks like on your car I think I'll leave it chrome
