hey all, i am currently on the hunt for a vrs and have dicided that i want to do something a bit different with it, possible colour change, just wondering if anyone here knows anything about costs of getting cars "wrapped"??

There's a guy on the civictype r forum who does it i believe as he had his nighthawk black r wrapped white, im pretty sure he was quoting around the £500ish mark but dont quote me on that as it was a little while back i read about it! May be worth having a look though

Kablam 1K is not an over estimate, there is a firm in herts called R-tec who are charging a grand. Imagework in essex are used by a lot of the vw scene guys.

I was quoted over £1400 for a silver mirror finish on the whole car by Thetford Graphics. The cost depends on what you want done and how much you want done.

i was just thinking of just getting the car wrapped bright white as i have a thing for white cars at the moment and think a white vrs would look awesome

I have also been thinking for a while about getting my black vrs wrapped in white vinyl

£1k to do a wrap on a car is more than likely cheap. most companies i know would be a good few hundred over that.

that seems awful cheap and i very much doubt it would be proper vehicle wrapping vinyl, the costs of production would be greater than £80

i dont and cant do wrap's, the materials used for wrapping arent supplied to any company that havent done a special course in the fitting of it. its not something i am equipped to do so dont see the point in taking a course for it. i can recommend a company not too far from me that can do this if need be.

but back to the original post, a wrap would change the colour but the paint in all the panel gaps would show through and not look too good, check out a wrapped taxi next time you see one and you'll see what i mean. its good for advertisement but not good for changing your cars colour. although theres a brabus merc wrapped in matt black that looks amazing, i think that was £2k to do tho (correct me if i'm wrong).
